Giving Back
Reflecting on the holiday season
6th January 2025
At Ambassadeurs Group we know how difficult the festive period can be for some people. That’s why we try to find extra special ways to make a difference during this time
Charities need support all year round. At Christmas there is an extra reason give support. At Ambassadeurs Group (AG) we volunteer and fundraise in Les Ambassadeurs Club and out of it, throughout the year; we combine big gestures with small ones that make the festive season more joyous for some people.
In November we collected winter coats from our staff to support WrapUp London. The charity distributes the coats to people who need them during the long, cold winter months. So far WrapUp London has received more than 10,000 coats from donations across the capital, and some 6,000 have been distributed.
In December, some of our team of volunteers spent the day at The Felix Project in west London. They helped distribute fresh food to local charities and schools. We are a long-standing supporter of The Felix Project, which rescues and redistributes good, surplus food from shops, restaurants and delis – food that would otherwise go to waste. It then sorts and delivers this high-quality, nutritious mix of fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods, salads, meat and fish, to over 1,000 charities, primary schools and holiday programmes in London.
Another AG team volunteered at Reffetorio Felix, helping cook and serve hot meals to the local community in Earl’s Court.
We don’t just volunteer. We have been supporting the Barrie Wells Trust since 2016 and donate to help seriously ill children, and their families, through the charity’s Box4Kids initiative. Box4Kids invites children and their families to enjoy sporting and entertainment events from the comfort of executive boxes. This Christmas time, we have donated tickets to see Frozen, Shrek and Disney on Ice, as well as providing Christmas presents to families of children in hospital through Ronald McDonald House Charities.
“It was our first musical with Riley and he was an angel for the full show, he sat in one place, he clapped and was enjoying himself which is rare. You have no idea what a pleasure it was for us to see him like that. Thank you so much for this experience, you have truly given us hope.”
“It was a fantastic opportunity for Delara to be with her friend, enjoy the show and forget about the upcoming chemotherapy”
“We can’t thank you enough, Hanaa had a magical time, she wants to be an actress now”
Krishna Hathi, AG’s Charity Initiatives Advisor, said: ‘Year-round giving is important to AG. We blend volunteering and sponsorship with fundraising and donations. Donations and volunteering at this time of year make an impact for those who receive them. We are proud of our team, and our Club members who help with fundraising.’
